How can my recipient receive the money?

  • Bank transfer: Send directly to accounts at many banks in Mexico, including Banorte, BBVA (Bancomer), BanCoppel, Banco Azteca and Banamex, and others. For bank deposits, you may need your recipient’s 18-digit CLABE.
  • Debit card transfer: Send directly to an eligible Visa or Mastercard debit card, and other supported cards.
  • Mobile wallet: Send directly to supported mobile wallets including Mercado Pago, Spin by OXXO and AstroPay.
  • Cash pickup: Send money for your recipient to collect at participating locations including Elektra, BanCoppel, OXXO, Bodega Aurrera, Walmart and Farmacias Guadalajara, and others.

Ask your recipient which option works for them before you start.


What information do I need?

What you’ll need depends on how your recipient wants to receive the money. Have these details ready:

  • Your recipient’s full name
  • Their preferred receiving method
  • Bank, card or wallet information, when required
  • 18-digit CLABE for applicable bank transfers
  • Other information Xoom requests during the transfer

If you already have an account with PayPal, you can use your existing PayPal login to access Xoom—there’s no need to create another account.

If you don’t yet have an account with PayPal, you can sign up for one through Xoom to get started.

What should I check before I send?

Before confirming your transfer, review:

  • Send amount: How much you’re sending
  • Exchange rate: The USD-to-MXN rate for your transfer
  • Transfer fee: Any applicable Xoom transfer fee
  • Receiving amount: How many pesos your recipient is expected to receive
  • Delivery: When the money is expected to be available
