Xoom Named to the Wall Street Journal’s Top 50 Venture Backed Companies of 2012—Second Year in a Row

Nearly 6,000 companies considered for annual “Next Big Thing” List

SAN FRANCISCO, CA September 28, 2012 –– Xoom Corporation, a global online money transfer provider, is pleased to announce the inclusion of in the Wall Street Journal’s 2012 list of Top 50 venture backed companies for the second straight year.

More than 5,900 candidates were considered from a list compiled by VentureSource, a Dow Jones Company.  To be eligible, companies must have received an equity round of financing in the past three years and be valued at less than $1 billion.
